Child
Care
Child
care for many families today is one of the obstacles to holding
a job. Convenient, local, qualified sources of child care is a serious
need to be addressed throughout our 28 counties of Southern Illinois
if we are going to enable our neighbors to break free from the shackles
of poverty to become financially independent. Poverty Services seeks
volunteers to become child care providers.
Poverty Services child care volunteers receive technical assistance
and support through "Children's Home & Aid Society of Illinois"
(CHASI). CHASI offers free referrals regarding you child care services
and opportunities for education, training and scholarships. Volunteers
also will receive a free newsletter The Link: Professional Edition
in addition to access to Toy/Resource Libraries and networking opportunities.
There are also tremendous benefits to the volunteer child care provider!
You can work in your own home, spend time with your own children,
set your own hours and salary, and help fill the need for quality
child care in your county.
It takes a special person to care for young children
maybe
that person is YOU!!! Become a Child Care provider!

to get started.
With everyone working together, we can overcome this obstacle!
